I registered for Pro and my Cloudflare token has the load balancing permissions, but one of my users still doesn’t see the 03 // LOAD BALANCING tab. Admins see it fine. The user has a custom role we created a while ago.
Load Balancing is shown only when all of these hold:
- Pro licence. It’s a Pro feature, so check Settings → License.
- A Cloudflare connection is active. The tab is hidden for Active Directory DNS connections, which have no load balancing.
- The user’s role has
lb:read. That’s almost certainly your case. The system roles receivedlb:read(Operator alsolb:create,lb:update,lb:delete) when load balancing arrived, but custom roles created earlier needlb:readgranted by an admin before the tab appears. Edit the role under Admin → Roles.
If the tab appears but says which permission groups to add, that’s the token side. Add the Load Balancers (Zone) and Load Balancing: Monitors and Pools (Account) groups to the Cloudflare token and test the connection again.
